Notes are from Alan Chapman from our conversation on 3/21/22 for improvements.
check pronunciation, conversational relatable, local
don’t bury the lead, unless it’s a real twist in the story, get to the who/composer more quickly. Also Chopin!! always check pronunciation.
focus on what is important the main point of the story, friendship and honoring each other by making more art/music and sharing it with the world. It doesn’t matter that it was originally written as a piano piece you have to get to the point less of the other details.
Less presenting style, less reading style, it doesn’t need to be completely perfect. More conversational. Try it without any script, no paper in front of you.
Don’t bury the lead get to the composer/main part of the story faster, keep the attention of the listener, why do they care…
Check pronunciations using Iowa Public Radio guide. Also this language story is confusing, he did learn Czech later in life as an adult, but technically he did speak the language. Perhaps pick a different story angle. (I tried one about his father being a beer brewer, I also tried a simpler one with only one story kicking it to the more modern day relatable, cartoon route that’s the one below.)
Alan liked Marriage of Figaro best of the initial round of recordings.
